OUR SERVICESThe following services are all by appointment in routine surgery times (please inform the receptionist as some services need longer appointments): Adult Immunisations By the practice nurse. If you require foreign travel (including yellow fever) immunisations please contact the Surgery at least 6 WEEKS BEFORE TRAVEL. Recommended every 3 years (25-50 years) and 5 years thereafter by the practice nurse. By special appointment for routine checks on all children under five years old by the health visitor or your usual doctor. Starting at two months old. If you are not notified by post by that time please make an appointment for your baby. Is available with a trained psychotherapist. A monthly dietetics clinic is held for people referred by a Doctor or Nurse. Regular review of asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, epilepsy and blood pressure by practice nurse and doctors. By the family planning nurse and doctors, advice and contraceptive service including emergency contraception and cap fitting. Coil fittings are referred to the Family Planning clinic. Separate clinics for the whole community are held at the surgery. These are Parentcraft Classes, Community Physician and Child Clinics, Speech Therapy and Ortoptist Clinics. With the doctors or on Thursday mornings with the midwife. You may self-refer to the Midwives if you wish please ask at Reception for a form. By special appointment for the removal of some skin lesions and injection of joints. With the doctors, recommended to allow initial medical assessment and advice to all new patients (within three months of registration). Medical examinations for LGV and life insurance etc and some travel immunisations are not part of NHS work and we charge for these – please see separate leaflet. Patients who wish to stop will be encouraged and supported via the Smokestop Clinic. Please ask your Doctor. By special appointment.
