Advanced Nurse Practitioners
Mrs Sally Cable ANP, NMP, PG Dip Advanced Practice, BSc ( Hons) Health Studies, RGN Days of work: Wednesday & Thursday
Mrs Sue Cashmore BEM, MSc, BSc, RGN Days of work: Monday and Tuesday.
Our ANP’s are Registered Nurses who has done extra training and academic qualifications to be able to assess symptoms, examine and build a picture of a patient’s condition, make diagnoses, treat minor health problems, infections, minor injuries, prescribe medication where necessary and make referrals for patients who present with undiagnosed/undifferentiated problems.
With experience in:
- Acute on the day illness
- Chest infections,
- Asthma & COPD flare ups.
- Breathlessness
- Ear infections
- Eye problems
- Urine infections
- Abdominal pain
- Contraception & sexual health problems such as bleeding/discharge/itching
- Ring pessary problems or change needed
- Musculoskeletal aches & pains such as back pain
- Rectal bleeding
- Skin Rashes
- Skin infections such as cellulitis, sebaceous cysts, bites of all kinds.
- Infected ingrowing toenails
- Breast lumps
- Diabetes problems- medication issues, high or low blood sugars
- Children with acute illness such as cough/ear infection/abdominal pain
- Problems with raised blood pressure.

Our Practice nurses deal with general nursing duties, advise and support on a range of health care, health promotions as well as managing & monitoring chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes which require regular reviews.
