Livi is a remote consulting service for eligible patients above the age of one year, from very experienced clinicians that offers comprehensive clinical information & advice over the telephone or via video consultation. You can speak to a Livi GP about any health concerns or symptom, and they can provide medical advice, prescriptions, specialist referrals and sick notes. We are very lucky to be able to offer this as an extra service twice a week, which gives us an additional 26 appointments each week.
Who are LIVI?
LIVI is offered in partnership with local GP practices in West Dorset. They are a CQC regulated digital healthcare provider who provide GP telephone appointments or video consultations to enable patients registered at our practice to improve access, patient experience and outcome
Who are LIVI’s GPs
GPs working in the LIVI service are all experienced, GMC-certified NHS GPs who have undergone additional training in the latest video consultation techniques. They can provide medical advice, diagnosis (where appropriate) prescriptions, sick notes & referrals.
What if I need a physical examination? Livi GPs are happy to discuss any condition, except those that require a physical examination, and those that may not be suitable for video consultation
Will they know our patients?
Livi GP’s have the same access to our patient’s medical records in the same way that GP’s at Barton House do. All patients will receive considered, in-depth medical advice as they would from all GP’s
Which patients can use LIVI?
- Any existing patients who are over 16 and currently listed with the practice.
- Parents can book appointments for their children who are older than 2 and less than 16 years old. Children under the age of 16 must be present with their parent/legal guardian for their appointment.
Why is this good for our practice?
It means we can offer more appointments each week, therefore reducing waiting times for yourself & others
